Hammock Chairs
Hammock chairs are fun to use. Like hammocks, you get the feeling of being suspended in midair. Gentle hammock movement is relaxing to the senses. If you like hammocks, then a hammock chair is a natural choice. A bed hammock isn’t exactly going to work as a chair.
How To Hang
The main object is to find the studs in the ceiling. There are a couple ways to find the stud. Take a magnet and tie it to a string. Wherever the magnet holds on, there is metal, from a nail, and thus a stud. The much easier way is to use a stud finder. In this case, just move the stud finder (cost is about $15.00) around and press the button. The stud finder will light up when you are over the stud. Drill a pilot hole that is slightly smaller in diameter than your eyescrews. Finally, screw in the eyescrews by hand and use a long bar or large screwdriver to get enough leverage to finish the job.
Hammock Chair Stands
Many hammocks come with a stand. They are made out of metal and wood. The good part for you is that the chair is now portable. Hammocks hung from the ceiling can be fun because you can get a larger range of movement. It is fun to push someone in the hammock.
Considerations
Consider the purpose. Is it for a baby, romantic adventure, or family fun? Do you want it to be for one, two, or three people? Do you want it to be extra comfortable or extra durable? Will the chair be outdoor, indoor, or both? These are the main points to consider. Most hammock chairs are for one person, are created for comfort (over durability), and are for family fun. However, there are many variations on the product and that makes them fun to have.
